ABOUT THE PRIZE

Surrounded by woodlands, this unusual half-timbered hut is a relaxing retreat situated just 15 minutes from the Norfolk coast and its beautiful Blue Flag beaches. The hut sleeps up to six people, with two comfy double bunks and an additional double bed included.

There’s a kitchenette complete with hob, microwave, small fridge and sink, plus neat folding dining table and a log burner in the centre of the hut that ensures visitors are toasty on cooler evenings.

Outside, there’s a gas BBQ and picnic table, and the hut comes well equipped with cutlery, crockery and BBQ utensils too. Hot showers and proper loos are in a purpose-built block a short walk away, with all paths lit by fairy lights.

WOODLANDS, WILDLIFE & BEACHES

Jacob’s Folly is the perfect base for an outdoorsy short break and those who enjoy being close to nature will love the myriad wildlife that call the surrounding woods their home – those who are very patient and quiet may catch a glimpse of owls, deer, foxes, bats and more.

The Blue Flag beaches at Holkham and Sheringham are within easy reach, as is the pretty harbour at Wells-next-the-sea and the Broads National Park, meaning plenty of opportunities for adventures and blowing away the cobwebs. Stately homes and heritage properties nearby include Baconsthorpe Castle, Mannington Halls and Sheringham Park, or for a seaside day out, Cromer is 13 miles away and offers wide beaches, famous crab suppers and plenty of history.
