Here’s what Candice had to say…
I love my job! I am an environmentalist working for Bird Life South Africa and my job takes me to some of the most incredible and off-the-beaten track places in South Africa! In January, my team mates and I 4×4’d to the top of the iconic Sani Pass after fresh rains to find the Critically Endangered Bearded Vulture.
After sighting some of South Africa’s endemic birds and plants en route, we reached the top of the mountains to experience epic sweeping views and an ice cold Maluti beer. And just when we had given up hope of seeing one of our rarest raptors, a beautiful Bearded Vulture silently swooped over us! What an adventure!
