Corfu/ Vikos Gorge/ Meteora
Wander through Corfu's alleyways, swim in sapphire water and walk along the coast. From here head to the mountains of the Zagoria region to experience life in remote villages where locals are fiercely protective of their heritage. You’ll trek through the spectacular Vikos Gorge - hailed the deepest gorge in the world at 900m - to the Astraka refuge, which takes you high into the Alpine zone.

How much walking? Vikos: 10-15km per day. The longest days are in the Vikos Gorge and the Astraka Refuge. The latter can be done over 9 hours on one day, but it’s best to do it over two days by staying over in the refuge. Corfu: 11-13km per day. Meteora: 9km per day.
How fit do I need to be? The terrain around the Vikos Gorge is medium to hard, while the terrain in Corfu and Meteora is medium. An average to high fitness level is recommended.
Best months to walk? May, June, July, September, October. Other possible months include August and November.
